Over the years, Hersol has created extensive facilities which feature, among other things, a fully equipped laboratory to ensure quality of raw materials and finished products.

Our highly trained staff ensure unsurpassed turn-around times.

Moreover, the Micro Laboratory consists of 2 senior micro biologists, a lab assistant, and a QC Manager. It has been accredited by the Department Of Health which issues a certificate of compliance annually. This sterile lab boasts 1 of the few Biolumix systems in South Africa, ensuring a faster turnaround time as compared to the conventional method of 5 days.

Quality Control Finished Products Laboratory

The finished product Laboratory consists of experienced staff who are responsible for analysing all products, based on validated methods. The team consists of 2 analysts and 1 laboratory assistant. All instruments used to perform the required tests are externally calibrated by companies that are SANAS accredited, ensuring accuracy and precision at all times.

The raw materials Lab is equipped with a number of analytical instruments

For spectroscopy we have the UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Atomic Absorption spectrophotometer, Infra-Red Spectrophotometer and the Handheld Nano Raman.

For Chromatography we have the following instruments/techniques: HPLC, GC, and TLC.

Raw materials are received and taken through all the quality tests before being released for use in production.

The Lab complies to the basic GMP, GLP and SAHPRA guidelines. The team consists of 4 samplers, 6 senior analysts, analysts, lab supervisor and QC manager.
